About EcoVadis, the certification criteria and our results
Sustainability, ethical cooperation and human rights are of high priority to Bürkle! A transparent approach to these issues is very important to us. For this reason, we have opted for an assessment by EcoVadis, which allows you to view our results quickly and transparently.
What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is an international sustainability assessment and intelligence platform that helps more than 100,000 companies improve their sustainability performance and optimize their value chain. In addition, EcoVadis helps to manage ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) risks and compliance (business and legal term for corporate compliance) as well as to assess sustainability practices in the supply chain. Bürkle has been EcoVadis certified since 2023 and we are pleased to share our results with you.
Advantages of an EcoVadis certified company
The classification is a great advantage for suppliers, customers and partners. Anyone interested in working with Bürkle can quickly and easily access our risk screening and risk analysis and view our ratings and scorecards without having to contact us. Thanks to the clear categorization by medals, the performance of each company can be compared with others.
Criteria for certification
EcoVadis monitors a total of four areas, in each of which a minimum of 30 points must be achieved in order to receive a medal.

Silver medal
We are proud to have received a silver medal for our performance.
Only the top 25% of all companies receive this award.
It is also extraordinary that we achieved this status at the initial certification. Many companies only achieve this status following improvement measures during recertification.
What does the silver medal mean?
The EcoVadis medals are awarded to companies that have successfully completed the EcoVadis assessment process and can demonstrate a sustainable management system in accordance with the EcoVadis methodology. They must also meet certain licensing and approval criteria.
We achieved a silver medal with the following values:
- Environment > 60 points
- Ethics > 70 points
- Labor and human rights > 50 points
- Sustainable procurement > 50 points
Our scorecard
The EcoVadis scorecards enable a quick and efficient review of a company's strengths, measures and results.
We are very pleased with the good rating we received in all four areas. For example, we achieved very good results for our labor and human rights policies in the areas of diversity, equality and inclusion.
